Restaurants in Liverpool serve fish for Easter Friday

CULTURE

Serving fish is a Good Friday tradition in Liverpool restaurants

Liverpool restaurants are preparing to serve up their best fish dished for Good Friday. Traditionally a day when many people choose not to eat meat, it's one of the biggest days of the year for fish orders in restaurants. Brazilian restaurant Viva Brazil may be well known for its cuts of meat, but it also has a wide selection of fish on the menu - including its own seafood rodizio. People wanting to avoid meat can enjoy the freshest fish including organic salmon with citrus sauce, fried squid dusted with a sesame & seaweed coating, grilled sardine wrapped in a banana leaf, grilled marinated black tiger prawns plus an extra special fish of the day. The seafood rodizio also includes unlimited access to the salad bar with over 90% of the dishes being meat-free. (www.liverpoolecho.co.uk)
