Perry Scott to become Enfield Council Chief Executive

Perry Scott, who has been serving as Interim Chief Executive of Enfield Council since March 2025, has been recommended for the permanent role following a rigorous and wide-ranging recruitment process.

The recommendation was made by a cross-party appointments panel and will be subject to formal approval at the Full Council meeting in June.Councillor Ergin Erbil, Leader of Enfield Council, said: “I’m delighted that the Members panel has appointed Perry as Chief Executive, subject to Full Council approval. “Perry has driven forward the Council’s ambition to build a cleaner, safer and fairer Enfield since joining Enfield as Executive Director of Environment and Communities in early 2024. “As Interim Chief Executive he has led some high profile and successful partnership programmes and initiatives which are making a real difference to the lives of local people.“Perry has also established positive relationships with regional and central government departments which will be key to drawing in the vital extra resources we need to create a fairer Enfield.“He is developing an organisation which is inclusive, celebrates diversity and builds the strengths of our talented workforce so that they can continue to provide high quality services for Enfield’s communities, whatever the challenges.”

Perry Scott said: “It is a great honour to have been selected as Enfield Council’s Chief Executive. 

“Since joining Enfield, it has been a pleasure to work with colleagues across the Council, the administration led by Cllr Ergin Erbil, partner organisations and local communities to improve the borough and deliver great Council services.“I relish this opportunity to provide even better public services and a borough that offers a lifetime of opportunities for local people.”
