White House, 'Assad is not in Syria's future'

White House Spokesperson Jay Carney said Syrian leader Bashar al-Assad uses barrel bombs on innocent people, "Assad is not in Syria's future".

US is the biggest aid provider to Syrian people and it will continue to do that, Carney stated at a daily press briefing.

"Assad has the blood of many Syrians on his hand. Therefore, we still think that Assad is not in Syria's future," said Carney.

Carney emphasized that Assad is a cruel dictator who is responsible for the death of 100 thousand people and caused humanitarian crisis, saying, "The Syrian regime poisons its own people with chemical weapons. He is a dictator who uses his power to use barrel bombs on innocent people and prevent international aids".

Stating that the stuation in Syria is getting worse, Carney told they sustain Geneva process, and the only solution is a negotiated resolution.

"Syrians will determine about which regime member they will work with. Syrian people take up a position clearly about Assad. They think that he can not be a part of Syria's future and we agree with their opinion," added Carney.
