Letife Çavuşoğlu is in urgent need of a stem cell donation

Dear All,

Mrs Letife Çavuşoğlu (49), who is the mother of our secretary Ms Hale Çavuşoğlu, sadly has been diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia. She is currently having chemotherapy treatment at Royal Free Hospital and is in urgent need of a stem cell donation.

The Turkish Cypriot Doctors & Dentists Association UK, with the support of Delete Blood Cancer UK which is part of the world’s largest stem cell donor centre DKMS, has launched a campaign to find a matching donor for Letife.

It is easy to register and only takes 15 minutes. If you are in general good health, between the ages of 17-55 and willing to donate some of your stem cells, a simple swab of the inside of your cheek will tell of your tissue characteristics.

Letife is in urgent need of a stem cell donation and we are calling upon everyone to help her and others who are in the same condition by joining us at one of the events below to register.

8 February, Saturday between 10:00-12:00, Rauf R. Denktaş Türk Okulu, Blackfen School for Gırls, Blackfen Road, Sidcup, Kent, DA15 9NU

9 February, Sunday between 12:00-14:00, Hornsey Atatürk Okulu, Hornsey School for Girls, Inderwick Road, London N8 9JF

The registration process is simple and all you need to do to determine if you are a matching donor is provide a saliva sample.

Thank you for your help and support.
