European Union to provide 65 millions euro for Syrians

The aid will be transferred to the victims both in Syria and in the neighboring countries via UN agencies, the Red Cross, the Red Crescent, and other international aid organizations. The donations will be used in emergency health assistance, sheltering, food, water, hygiene, and the other basic needs. "The pain and the suffering of Syrian people cannot be even imagined. It is getting worse each day. Many people lost their families, homes and faced with extreme financial and emotional damage. There seems no sign of an end on the horizon," EU Humanitarian Aid Commissioner Kristalina Georgieva said in a statement. Stating the EU aid will bring a partial relief to the victims, Georgieva said, "Unless a political solution is found by the international society and the conflicting sides, the international humanitarian aid will be no remedy for this unique crisis."
