Barzani to visit Turkey

Prime Minister of the regional administration in northern Iraq Nechirvan Barzani will visit Turkey on October 31 to discuss mainly oil trade between the two countries, Syrian conflict and the situation of the Syrian refugees.

Barzani will meet with his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Safeen Dezayee, parliament speaker of the regional administration in northern Iraq, told Anadolu Agency that they hope to strengthen relations between the two countries.

Dezayee also commented on the tension between  the Kurdish Democratic Union Party (PYD) and the regional administration in northern Iraq.

He stressed that Kurdish parties in Syria should have strong relations.

"Two years ago a strong structure was formed among the Kurdish parties but the Democratic Union Party (PYD), the biggest Kurdish party in Syria, was not committed to the agreement. However, we still supported the solution of Kurdish issue in Syria," he said.

Dezayee also said they were working on forming a government following parliamentary elections on September 21.
