SUAREZ, The Good the bad and the Hungry

Luis Suarez showed three different sides to his game today but in truth football fans will only remember the dark side, which was again on show today when he reacted by ferociously biting Chelsea’s Ivanovich the second half.

Fox Soccer pundits were quick to point out that this is not the first time Suarez has been involved in a biting incident. In Holland he has the nickname “Cannibal” after biting a PSV player in November 2010. The incident in November 2010, when Ajax played PSV earned him a 7 game ban and arguably he may have now played his last game for Liverpool FC.

The match was a real rollercoaster for Suarez, as in the 52nd minute he showed a sublime touch to set up Sturridge to score Liverpool’s first. Only three minutes later he then gave away a needless handball in his own penalty area which led to Chelsea’s second goal. In the end Chelsea will be aggrieved that he was still on the pitch to deal what could be a decisive blow to their Champions League aspirations.

Whatever way you look at this, Suarez is the name on every fans football lips tonight. The FA will no doubt be looking at this and it is inconceivable that he will not receive a lengthy ban for his actions, which again has brought him under the spotlight for all the wrong reasons.
