Turkish students leave native speakers behind

Located in İzmir, Turkey Oğuzhan Özkaya Education Institutions students,Hasan Yalçın Arıkanoğlu, Firuze Kökten, H. Yağız Kamacı, Yusuf Emre Öz, Kayla Kemertaş, Ozan Güzelırmak ve Selin Kayalı accomplished something great, scoring a perfect 5 points, leaving native English speakers behind. 

’44 INTERNATIONAL AWARDS’

Explaining that they are moving in their direction with an understanding that is creating a difference in education Oğuzhan Özkaya Education Institutions Chairman of the Board Oğuzhan Özkaya Said that ‘Our students take agricultrue and farming lessons along with their academic education. They learn everything they need to survive after graduating high school.’ Continuing his words, Özkaya further explained the importance of their cooking and aviation classes and added ‘W have a fully functional helicopter in our school and we offer flying lessons, we also have a carpentership workshop as well to compliment our education to the most. We created a curriculum that would include everything from beekeeping to ceramics workshop.’

HUGE DEMAND FROM OVERSEAS

Stating that they accomplished 44 different international awards in the global arena, Özkaya continued by saying ‘We are helping our kids discover their talents. There is no impossible. Our summer school are in high demand. We don’t stop offering our education during summer. For our summer school we receive high demand from United Kingdom as well as Germany, Belgium and The Netherlands. Our goal is to continue this success we gained internationally over the years to come.

Saying that after their successful online education venture following the COVID-19 pandemic Özkaya stated that they received their all time high enrollment rates in the past 6 years. Further explaning ’80 of our teachers currently have smartboards installed in their houses. After transitioning to a well structured online education we never stopped. We created a system that was able to take demand even from overseas. We are able to offer quality English education to all over the world.

‘‘THEY LEARN ABOUT NATURE IN SCHOOL’’

Saying that the secret behind their success depends on the fact that they are open to innovation, Özkaya said ‘We have 32 sheep and 450 chickens in our school. One of the greatest enviroments for children to learn about life is a farmer’s market. Our students sell what they produce in local farmer’s market. We even produce Karakılçık Wheat Flour. We are with our students evere step of the way we even do aviation, equestrianism and beekeeping.

WHAT IS THE AP PROGRAM?

In the AP program, whose main goal is to enable high school students to take courses at university level, students can have the opportunity to receive course credits without entering the university campus. Students are considered successful if they take the exam in May and get a score of 3 or more out of 5 from the AP courses they take during the semester.

Students who are entitled to receive certificates for each course they pass are exempt from these courses at the university. Students who succeed in getting certificates from 4 different fields are entitled to receive an international AP diploma. With this diploma, students have the opportunity to enter thousands of universities without an exam.

The Advanced Placement program, which offers high-level academic and sociological achievements to the student, is run by the College Board in America. The College Board also prepares the SAT exams, which are the university entrance exams in America. With the AP Program applied, students also attend SAT exams 6 times a year as Oğuzhan Özkaya Educational Institutions.
