National Feature Film Competition Film are announced

50th International Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival (4- 11th October 2013); organized in collaboration with Antalya Metropolitan Municipality and the Antalya Culture and Art Foundation (AKSAV) continues to bring the most impressive directorial debuts and the examples of the impressive Turkish Films to the cinema industry. 

The pre-selection panel for the festival evaluated 62 films for the National Feature Film Contest. The films selected to compete for the ‘Golden Orange Award’ are; 

 

Ferit Karahan’s “Cennetten Kovulmak” (The Fall From Heaven)

Ali Kemal Çınar’s “Kısa Film” (Short Film)

Ramin Martin’s “Kusursuzlar” (Flawless Life) 

Serdar Temizkan’s “Kutsal Bir Gün” (A Holy Day) 

Zeynep Dadak and Merve Kayan’s “Mavi Dalga” (Blue Wave) 

Ömer Leventoğlu’s “Mavi Ring” (Blue Ring) 

Atalay Taşdikan’s “Meryem,” 

Mehmet Bahadır Er and Maryna Er Gorbach’s “Sev Beni” (Love Me) 

Alpgiray Uğurlu’s “Üvertür” (Prelude) 

Nihat Seven’s “Uzun Yol” (The Long Way Home)

National Feature Film Competition Jury

Turkan Soray; an ‘extraordinary’ leading actress of Turkish Cinema will chair the main jury for the National Competition. The other members of the jury are; award winning Turkish directors, Reis Celik and Umit Unal, Greek composer Eleni Karaindrou, producer Sukru Avsar, actor Mahir Gunsiray, once ‘Golden Orange’ winner Professor Feride Cicekoglu, cinematographer  Mehmet Aksin, writer Burcak Evren and journalist Asli Oymen.

Summary of the top cash prizes of the ‘50th International Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival’;

Best Film 350,000 TL (approx $172,000)

Best Director: 55,000 TL (approx $27,000)

Best First Feature Film: 100,000 TL (approx $49,000)

Best Screenplay: 35,000 TL (approx $ 17,000)

Best Director of Photography: 30,000 TL (approx $15,000)

Best Music: 30,000 TL (approx $15,000)

Best Documentary: 30,000 (approx $15,000)

Best Short Film: 15,000 TL (approx: $7000)

Best First Documentary: 5,000 (approx: $2500)

Iranian director honorary guest

The Oscar winning Iranian director Asghar Farhadi is the honorary guest of the festival. Mr. Farhadi and his leading actor Ali Mustafa will be attending the screening of his latest work “Le Passé,” for which Berenice Bejo won a best leading actress award at the Cannes Film Festival.
